Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Warren

We stayed here two nights for my nephew's wedding. We were quite pleased with the hotel, staff was friendly, rooms were nice. We were able to visit with other family in the lobby during the day. Our biggest issue is that it's like a maze to find your room or anyone else's. Also, the elevator was way at the end of several hallways!! They do serve breakfast but it's not complimentary, it's actually a bit pricey but it was delicious!!

14 year old son was chased through the property by 4 unknown assailants. They offered me $20 worth of “store credit” to buy snacks, for the “inconvenience.” Dirty towels were left in the bathroom from previous guests. Most of the staff were friendly enough.

A place to sleep

There is no breakfast the staff was rude upon arrival arguing with other customers when we walked in then rude to us told us breakfast started at 7am come to find out the breakfast is not included

Nice quiet area set back off the road- positive aspect. Negative aspect- the entire hotel smelled of smoke. I do not want to pay $200+ for smoking smell in a non-smoking hotel. GROSS!!!

My room could have been cleaner. Needs some updating. Excellent staff service

Checked in at 9PM the lady at the desk was extremely rude. That should’ve told us to leave then, but was desperate to stay somewhere in that area. We were there for 2 days, not one time was our room cleaned, and when asked about it we were told they only do house keeping every 3 days !!! How unsanitary was my first thought, like so what does anyone do with garbage cans?! Sheets , oh we the guest have to change that ourselves. So why would we pay $390 for 2 days if we’re doing the work?!
