Courtyard Detroit Metro Airport Romulus

Stayed one night to catch an international flight next day. Paid with reward points. The lady at the front desk ( with head wrap) was amazing and made us feel so welcome. This place was just lovely. I'd never stayed in a Courtyard with an actual courtyard and fire pit. Loved each room had balcony. Ours faced the courtyard. There is a laundry room which we used and a gym, all glass walls, so you feel like you are in a garden room. Great sunlight showering the gym. A few areas of improvement: not much noise cancelation from hall noise (could hear conversations of people passing by). Boys running around our floor making noise. Being gold status, we had late checkout at 2pm. But our keys stopped working after 12pm or 1pm. Had to go down 2x (twice) to front desk and lady there (another, NOT the friendly lady who checked us in) was ineffective in giving us keys that worked. Finally she asked the cleaning staff to open for us. But she never apologized for the inconvenience while this was happening. She did at check out.

Easy in and out since it is <1 mile from DTW. Everything was clean and in good shape. Front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Clean rooms

The property has been recently refreshed with new carpeting. It is very clean and fresh looking.
