Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel & Conference Centre

Great staff and lots to do for kids! Staff let my mother in the room early to decorate so it would be a nice surprise for when me and my daughter showed up for her birthday.

Could’ve been a bit cleaner but wasn’t horrible, was not too happy about the water slide hours it should be opened Sundays as well at least and only 2 of the arcade games worked.

This was our first time staying at the Leamington location. We are avid Best western plus stayers for ontario family friendly staycations. This was by far the dirtiest, coldest, most run down location we have ever stayed at with staff who seem like they hate their lives. We will not be returning to this location. Don’t get me wrong this location has a lot of potential but needs a lot of TLC to be an incredible place like the Lamplighter in London is. However, The pool should not be that cold. My childs lips were blue within minutes. Pool room was freezing in general. The common area was disgusting / other families made it seem like they ran the show. 80% of the Arcade game were out of order. Then comes to our room: they originally tried putting us in two different rooms for a 2 night stay despite what we booked almost a month ago due to double booking. That did not fly as the room for the second day only had 1 king bed and a pull out after booking 2 queens for 2 adults and 2 children 4 and 12. I was understanding and patient with the front desk lady as it was insane but i was not agreeing to that. It seemed i was not the only one with check in issues as there were quite a few less understanding and less patient customers. Once we got things sorted and to our room it was so dirty: floors were not vacuumed, bath tub was full of someone's hair, plug for the bath for my children to warm up from the ice cold pool did not work. Coffee maker in the room is full of moldy water and our room smelled like weed and late night regrets. I run a cleaning business and left the room much cleaner than we received it. Every hallway and stairwell in the hotel was also filled with weed aroma. I love the carefree atmosphere but more guests need to be held accountable for their lack of parenting and for how disgusting they made the common area as if it was their living space. Bedding out on the balcony hall ways, garbage, and old food left everywhere. Seemed like a free for all for the kids while the parents got drunk in their rooms and parenting was optional. Also, there should be absolutely no reason to charge over $80 for hotel breakfast in addition to the high rate we pay for the rooms. They also advertised a movie night but then wanted to charge you per person to watch the movie which was diabolical. Complete money grab and not even worth it. It was a mind blowing experience and not in a good way. Disappointed and will not be returning.

We were with our 6 year old granddaughter. The pool, water slides and indoor playground are fantastic for kids. Think the water slides should have been open earlier on the weekend that started spring break.

We stayed for two nites. When we got back late evening on the second nite the room had not been cleaned/made-up. The conditioner and body wash containers were empty. The Kleenex dispenser only had 3-4 tissues in it.

The fact that they changed their policy are not accepting a deposit through debit. Then I did the deposit through a prepaid visa, and then they accused me of not paying for the room when I paid for the room upfront on the first night of being there of $543. They were supposed to reimburse me $150 on my prepaid visa and I left there without them, giving me the money and them stating that they would give me the money within 2 to 3 business days. Which I find a very unacceptable. Not only being accused of not paying then not getting my $150 back.

The good - - spacious room with two comfortable queen beds - clean - received a courtesy call to see if we needed anything (should have asked for extra blankets) - complimentary coffee and tea station in the lobby The not-so-good - - thin bed covers - could have used extra blankets - none stored in closet (it was late, so I didn't call front desk back) - cycling fan was noisy - so I turned the heat off - probably why I really needed another blanket - our room faced the atrium - that's a noisy spot - if you want a quiet room, book far from the atrium - the pool was closed so we were promised a deduction on our bill - when I returned home and opened the emailed folio, the deduction had not been made - called the hotel and they graciously refunded me - but why do I have to chase them? This hotel is ideal for families with young children. The atrium play centre looks like it would be a blast for kids.
