Wingate by Wyndham Cedar City

The room was very comfortable and very clean. The staff was very friendly.

A little run down. Hot tub was visibly dirty. Shower curtain was falling down. Room was clean though.

At checkin they did not have a room that I had reserved available until the next day. They said the reservation came to their computer as a king bed but my reservation was for 2 queens. Needless to say I wasn’t happy to have paid for a queen bed and ended up sleeping on a sofa pullout the first night. The hotel manager did the best she could do under the circumstances. I feel like Hotels.com should compensate me somehow for not getting what I reserved.

In general the property was run down.

Our stay started off with the friendly greeting from Bailey. She arranged for us to have a bottom floor due to my husband’s limitations. ALL the staff greeted guests with a hello and how was our stay. The breakfast was VERY good and eating area well maintained. This property is in the midst of refurb so leave some room for understanding if all is not perfect. I would like to suggest that a bath mat or ruffing up the tub bottom be considered as it was very slippery for us oldies.

The pool and hot tub tile need cleaning. Especially the hot tub tile which had not been cleaned in a visibly long time.

Check in was super easy . Breakfast was great and there was options around the hotel for dinner / a Walmart to get a few things we needed . This was only a one night stay . The room needed cleaned better the shower curtain has stuff on it . The hot tub needs cleaned looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned in months . We book hotels that have pools and hot tub to enjoy . The air conditioner is old and didn’t work well . We were already settled in and didn’t ask to be moved but I do believe they would have moved us . For price and breakfast not a bad hotel.

There were some OK things about our stay but it was overshadowed by the faulty equipment that we had to deal with. Most important was that our door lock did not work with the electronic key. Every time we entered the room we had to spend 10 minutes or more inserting and jiggling the card (as per their instructions) to gain entry. Many times (several X a day) we had to request maintenance or house keeping help.They didn't fix the problem, only jiggled their own key. Front desk replaced the keys several times. This was frustrating and time consuming. We were not offered a different room or an adjustment on the bill. Also the Wifi was slow and often unusable from our room. I asked that someone look at this but nothing was done. The property generally needed some repairs and looked not well maintained. We were surprised to learn that it had just been remodeled. We can not recommend this property in its current condition and will not stay there again

Convenient location

Staff was very nice but early in the morning people were being very loud, about 630 am. Not sure if it was cleaning staff or visitors.
