Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Sumter

My stay was very good. However, the room smelled like weed, and there was a lot of noise outside my room during the night.

There is somethimg wrong with the key reader of thw door to my room witch was inconviniant to get out of thw cold quickly. Took about 15-20 trys to get into the room befor the key would register but other than than that i cant complain worth the money and its very nice and quiet here.

Thank you hotels.com and Americas Best Value Inn & Suites for coming to our rescue. You can tell the hotel is being renovated. After the drama of changing hotels we settled into a very clean room with a very comfortable bed, nicely decorated and no bull. Upon returning after our event, the parking lot was semi full but the facility was very quiet.

A bait and switch tactic by Sleep Inn Sumter, lead us to change to this hotel. Good stuff first: it was apparent the hotel is under major renovation our room was spotless, everything in it fresh and clean, the bed and pillows were very very comfortable and linens smelled like they just came out the package. We looked into another room while waiting to get our room sorted and it looked the same. There were multiple ways of charging electronics, location switch convenient to our event, hotel clerk worked cooperatively with hotels.com to avoid us having to switch to a third hotel and understanding my medical condition made sure I had a room away from smoking rooms. The bad there was no truck parking spot so an 18 wheeler was terribly parked making about 6 sports tight. The front desk had no computer set up so clerk couldn't verify my reservations and caused frustration for me as they wanted me to pay out of pocket and get refund from hotels.com, but we got the situation resolved in a very expedient manner. No iron and ironing board in room, had to take one from another room. Overall after the kinks worked out, it was a great stay and will consider returning after they install a computerized system in the office.

I will like you to invest, in our youth of today, to keep them off, the streets, off drugs and out of prison term

The staff is wonderful. The rooms are clean. I always enjoy my stay. Night & day difference between this Days Inn & the one in Lake City which is deplorable. The only thing that you could use improvement is the breakfast choices. Other than that it is quite enjoyable.

I have to start off by saying the staff were very nice. I booked this hotel just like many others do. By the rating, comments and pictures. Well we had a late start and a little car trouble so we were running late, like 2am. I assumed I already paid for the room so it would be ready for me. Well there was a room ready. A very smelly, one king bed room for 3 Adult. The room looked nothing like the photos on-line. So tired and tired oh and tired, I went back to the office after a few minutes and a call to the hotel down the road under the same owner. I was offered the room I should have received in the first place. It was a remodeled room with a King and double bed, not the two queens I booked but a heck of a lot better than the room before. Sadly there was no shower curtain or bed spreads, but the sheets were clean and it smelled 100% cleaner. Though everything turned out in the end you are saying why such a low rating. Well I do not think hotels should just book someone else in your room because you are late. Come on it's paid for!!! Your business ethics are your rating.

Our stay was perfect. We got to stay at one of the newest rooms and they look awesome! The cleanliness and the comfort of the bed means everything for me and my family. Breakfast is included and the lady at the front desk always had a smile on her face. That is priceless. Thank you for making us feel like home.

My family and I really enjoyed the fact that the location was so close to the center of everything. We had a great experience with the staff, everyone was very friendly. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The fact that they had a kitchen in the room made our family vacation more relaxing. We plan to stay here again next time.

We were treated well, room was clean and comfortable. We stayed due to hurricane evacuation however we would return just to visit.
