Location was convenient to Navy Graduation

The bed was rock hard and the TV had issues

Wouldn't give me the room for whatever the reason even though had a reservation unexceptical

It was close to the naval station. The shower water was hot.

I never write reviews but my husband and I had such an awful experience with this hotel that I felt I needed to. Our son was graduating Navy Bootcamp in Chicago and this hotel was very close to the base. We live in North Carolina which is a 13 hour drive. I had booked and paid for our reservation through Booking.com. After 2 days of driving we arrived at this hotel which is located on a busy highway. I went to check in but the clerk at hotel reception said the hotel hadn't received money from booking.com. He could see that we had paid and that the reservation was confirmed but couldn't find where the hotel had received the money. It was a fiasco and he didn't understand how to fix the problem. We wasted 45 minutes contacting, calling, speaking to Booking.com and waiting for them to explain to the hotel receptionist how to do his job. It was very frustrating to say the least! The room was very small with mismatched furniture that looked like they came from Goodwill. There was mold in the bathroom and a persistent moldy smell throughout the room. The AC and refrigerator were very noisy and you could open the window (directly onto the parking lot) which had no bars to keep people from 'breaking' in. All in all it was a very stressful stay. We checked out a day early and were not offered a refund for the extra day or any sort of compensation for our troubles.

Its all a SCAM!!! Check in was unpleasant. I was supposed to be charged once I got to the property, but they tried to charge me before I arrived. Do not, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THE TOWELS. The hotel manager and staff will set you up and say that the towels were so dirty, they had to be "thrown away" and take your deposit for no valid reason, no proof. When I checked other comments and reviews about this same Days Inn, there were very similar situations of the deposit being taken for no valid reason. The staff will continuously lie to you about the manager getting back to you about anything. Please take pictures of your rooms before you leave, to have proof you did not destroy the "towels" or room to get your deposit back. But I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND ever staying here. They are very ungrateful, rude people that will take your money and treat you wrong. They feed you old food. The breakfast was old and cold, YUCK! The orange juice was disgusting, the fruit was very bland. Disgusting water pancakes, yuck!! It's all reheated in a small microwave, dried out and all. The beds were uncomfortable and outdated. Metal bedframes, watch your toes or you'll hammer one walking near the bed. Walls were paper thin. The room was dusty, like nobody even cleaned it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR HARD WORKED EARNED MONEY HERE PLEASE!!! This is truly the worst place I've ever stayed in Chicago. Will NEVER STAY here again!!

Proximity to Six Flags. Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable.

Breakfast could have beenna little better. You cant fill breakfast at 6 and expect it to last until 9 with a full house. Keep it stocked until 9. Other than that...
