Days Inn by Wyndham Redwood City

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Because the ratings and price were decent, I decided to stay at this location. The property itself is quite old, has not been renovated or maintained well. Upon entering my room, it was quite dirty with a layer of dust and dirt on the furniture and floors. The water in the bathroom/shower had zero pressure and was completely non-functional. At this point I attempted to call the front desk for another room, however they said they'd fix the water issue. I decided to keep my original room, as I was only staying for one night. However that evening my neighbor began playing extremely loud music (sounded like a concert) and I could not sleep. I went to the front desk on two separate occasions to ask for a separate room, however they said they only had a few rooms left and that "these needed to be reserved for future guests to ensure we have full occupancy". Instead they said they'd speak with my neighbor to lower their music. This obviously did not work, and I was forced to leave the property at 1:00 am in the morning to stay elsewhere. My overall experience was horrible. Although I rarely write these bad reviews, the fact that the staff would rather fill all their rooms then provide great service for their existing guests did not sit well with me. I will never stay at a Days Inn or similar property in the future just because of this experience.

I have never breakfast like this. It’s limited options but my god all fresh food. I was talk to Christy at the front desk they hard boil eggs themselves not prepacked fresh bread I can use the machine to freshly squeeze oranges right when I want. Coffee is great. Hot oatmeal with 2% milk. I haven’t had this kind of breakfast even at 7 star hotels. People are great rooms are spacious and comfortable. This should be listed as resort. I highly highly recommend this place

First room, sink not draining and started leaking under sink. We got switched to another room but the toilet doesnt flush well.

Out of all my experience of staying at hotels over the last year, this was my least favorite. There was holes in the walls and doors, definitely appeared like a door was kicked in, in the past, and you could see spray paint on the walls. Would not stay here again.

Location and ease of check-in

Booked a room with 2 queens. The beds were not Queens but instead fulls, I called the desk and they argued with me telling me that the beds were queens...I had a tape measure and measured the beds, they were indeed fulls. Not only did I pay for queens and not get queens, but fulls meant my daughter had no space to sleep, I had to buy an air mattress because the hotel refused to admit that these were not Queens and offered no solutions. My child is disabled, this was supposed to be a disability capable room, however, the shower head was not accessible to wheelchair users, the clothing hooks were mounted at the very top of the door just beneath the door frame, way out of reach for any person under 6'4" and not in a wheelchair. There was no phone in the room, a safety hazard, especially for a person with disabilities who may need to call for help. There were exposed wires coming out of a hole in the wall. The mattresses were wrapped in plastic that crinkled loudly with every movement, it felt like I was sleeping on grocery bags. I'm in the area often for my child's medical care and I will never stay there again.
