Quality Inn Great Barrington

The breakfast in the morning was basic & sufficient, clean set up & covered all the bases. The beds were extremely comfortable. I haven’t slept that good in a long time. Maybe I was tired but I definitely slept well.

Close to city center, safe and great costumer experience

I couldn't work the coffee maker and there were no tea bags, but otherwise: I was able to control the air-conditioning so that it was cool but not noisy; the TV was easy to operate; the bedside lamps were at the right height for reading; it wasn't a struggle to get in and out of the bathtub (and the water was hot and the drain closed); I didn't especially like the decor, but a comfortable bed, cleanliness, good lighting and a safe bathtub are really more important to me - I'm 90.

Hotel was great for a night at Tanglewood. Location key. Nice that we could walk around Great Barrington in search of breakfast. Easy to find. Clean.

We stayed for two nights at this property while visiting the Tanglewood area. The location is walking distance to restaurants, across the street from a great local brewery, and a short drive to Tanglewood and other area attractions. The room was clean, the beds were comfy and the nightly rate was competetive.

This was an expensive summer weekend and I paid over $400 for 2 nights for my friend and I who were attending nearby Kripalu retreat ctr for the day. Friday night, I called and said my friend would be checking in solo, so they transferred the reservation to her name- but she didn't make it. We arrived Sat night to understand that they'd canceled our reservation and rented the room to someone else without outreaching us. (I'm 8 mos pregnant to boot). We then had to drive to another hotel at 10PM after sorting with Expedia who DID refund us (no thanks to Comfort Inn check in guy, who rudely complained to the Expedia rep that we showed up for our reservation at 9PM, after they'd decided to cancel us with zero communication at 7P). Attempt at a tidy profit for them while acting as though we were in the wrong for showing up for a reservation(??) We could have communicated better, but ultimately pretty underhanded on their part, I think. We're the (paid in full) customer, not them!

Sheets were dirty, noisy AC system. Staff were polite and attentive. Breakfast was very good.

It was a quick 2 night stay. All we needed was a bed and a shower. There wasn't anything fancy. It served its purpose. It was walking distance from all the shops and restaurants. There are train tracks behind the hotel but the train only went by once. Having a CVS at the corner was nice. I would stay again. Everything worked inside the room. The a.c and tv, microwave and fridge all worked fine. The toilet flushed good too. I noticed there wasn't a heat vent in the bathroom for winter. I went in the summer so it didn't matter to me.

We had a very nice stay , the staff was friendly , everything was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was great , I’d stay again.
