Lovely location Bed is comfortable

The room had a very mouldy smell and the bathroom was not clean Decor is very tired and needs updating

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice sized, comfortable room with small but well equipped bathroom. Great shower! Large, attractive dining room with very attentive “ maitre d.” In the evening. Limited evening menu choice but food of excellent quality. Very good breakfast. Lovely gardens and very well maintained and run large swimming pool. Good walks on and around Burford Meadow and along Mole river close by the hotel. Easy to reach from M25 motorway.

Car park charge of £10 per night is extortionate. There should be no charge at all to guests staying at the hotel. If there has to be a charge, it should be a maximum of £5. It was also very poor that our room was not serviced on the morning of our second day there i.e. bed not made, cups and saucers not cleaned , no replacement tea bags or coffee sachets provided. Frankly, this is not good enough for a 4 star hotel of this general quality.

Decor is looking a bit tired.

Overall the hotel and facilities were great and staff were excellent. Garden view was lovely and the room was comfortable. I had a really good meal in the bar restaurant attached. Would recommend.

Was a little disappointed with breakfast, only because the toaster was terrible. I had 2 slices of disappointing toast - one was burnt on one side but remained untoasted on the other and the other slice completely untoasted both sides and yet they both went in together. Would have also liked a decaf teabag option in the room. There was only decaf coffee.

Room was good, clean and excellent value. Dinner was good too.

Breakfast was average for the price.
