Skvělá lokalita pro pauzu po jízdě trajektem do UK. Pohodlné postele, snídaně skromnější, ale bufet i tak obsahoval vše, co je na dobrou snídani třeba. Personál byl velice milý jak na recepci, tak na sdnídani. Před hotelem k dispozici nabíječka na EV, výkon 7kW, za noc jsme dobili auto přes aplikaci ZapMap (bez registrace). Nabíječka nepatří hotelu, je formou pay as you go.

Starší vybavení, špinavé závesy v pokoji, obecně ale odpovídá ceně a pro přespání je hotel vyhovující.

Super Lage für Touris, die UK ab Dover beginnen oder beenden. Zwar an der Autobahn, aber wirklich ruhig. Die unentgeldlichen Parkplätze sind direkt am Haupteingang. Eine wirklich nette Anlage, parkähnlich und keine Geschossbauweise. Behindertenfreundliche Zimmer. Nachmittags Livemusikĺ auf dem Klavier in der Lobby. Total nettes und super hilfsbereites Personal. Super Frühstück, große Auswahl.

Great location and nice, peaceful room. All of the staff are first class. We slept in and were late for the breakfast buffet. The waitress had kitchen make up a special breakfast for us. We were assisted with maps and bus times for our day trip to Canterbury and the next next day to Dover Castle. Petrol station with large 24 hour liquor and convenience store is a short walk away. Hotel reserve a car to transfer us to cruise port. We had a very carefree stay and will stay here on our next visit to Dover.

I was sadly disappointed by my experience here. I’m normally upbeat about hotel stays and I was excited to be starting my trip to France from Dover. I booked one night here. I normally stay at the marina hotel in Dover but it was full. So I opted for the holiday inn. It has all the charm of a motorway service station hotel without the motorway. I was staying with my two chihuahuas booked through booking.com. I travel with my dogs regularly in UK and France. Booking.com showed this hotel as dog friendly. They say charges may apply but nothing is shown at time of booking. Why they are not up front about this became clear. When I arrived I was told there would be a £25 per dog per night charge. A robust debate stated about the fact that these charges were not made clear up front at time of booking and that I had never ever been charged such a ridiculous amount anywhere before. If I had known, I would not have stayed but it was 22:00 when I arrived and it was too late to do anything. I will give the guy at reception some credit as after significant push back he only charged me for one dog. But even at £25 per night for the two, the charges were still high. There is also a £100 deposit for the dogs to pay which takes time to get refunded and of course no inspection in the room is done at time of exit so I’m nervous about what might be claimed. My dogs slept on their blanket on the floor, never went ont he beds etc. But I’m still nervous. There is very little external space to exercise the dogs. So while this place does accept dogs, I would not take dogs here unless you have lots of money. It may accept dogs but falls far short of a dog friendly status. Barely tolerated would be a better way of putting it. The room was comfortable and quite small. It had coffee and tea facilities which was good. The bathroom was aged and the toilet was not clean and made me nauseous at the amount of pee stains on the toilet lid. I wanted to bleach my hands after touching it. It’s not acceptable. It’s poor value for money at £139 a night. Dogs can’t be left in the room alone and they are not allowed in the restaurant so you are pretty screwed if you want food or breakfast. The guy at reception was nice and he did try and be helpful. I reported the state of the toilet upon exit. Also the stained carpets. Message for management. Be upfront about your charges. If you don’t really want dogs there don’t accept them. If you do, make it a wonderful experience. Dump the deposit. Make the owners of dogs feel welcome and to most, dogs are one of the family. Given the state of the room, charging me a deposit for the dogs is cheeky. Why not clean your rooms properly instead.
