We had a great stay in Beckley. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and spacious room. The Breakfast girl was very friendly and efficient. The breakfast room was bright and large. The front desk lady, who was great, I wish I could remember her name, gave us great recommendations for dinner. A lot of chain restaurants around the hotel, Outback Steakhouse, next door, gave us a 10% discount because we were staying next door. Great meal. We ate at two non-chain restaurants within 10 minutes from the hotel that were very good. We were in the area to visit the New River Gorge National Park, so this location was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

It’s always worrisome when I arrive at a hotel and the staff is outside the main door smoking (in front of the sign that says “we are a 100% smoking free hotel.) When we tried to check in, one of the smokers ran to assist us. Check in was smooth and friendly. The hotel is nice enough, beds comfortable, room mostly clean, not at all what was advertised. Bathroom was grungy, hotel in a sketchy neighborhood. Breakfast was full of terrible, fake, greasy food options and not ready when promised . We were totally surprised to be woken by barking dogs - several times and by bathroom noises from other rooms.

I have stayed at many Best Western locations and this one exceeded my expectations! The inside is well maintained, freshly painted, well decorated, and clean. The staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast area is very large and the meal was well stocked. There were extras that other hotels don't offer, like tortillas, salsa, eggs and cheese to make a breakfast burrito, pumpkin spice waffle mix, fresh clementines. I was blown away by how top notch this hotel is and at a great price!

Such a nice clean large breakfast area! I looked forward to meeting face-to-face the manager who had been so kind and helpful twice over the phone prior to our arrival. However she was not on duty during our check-in or check-out but the other staff who helped us were equally as kind and helpful. I had taken a fall just prior to our arrival and we checked in of an evening. I asked if they had any Band-Aids in their store. The clerk got me some from the hotels first aid box. They also gave me extra plastic trash bags to ice my wrist that was swelling. What a blessing. We liked out room and the view. We slept well and it was just a positive experience. We love the fall décor and the bowl of treat or treat candy on our departure. The blessing of such great customer service makes this stay a strong memory of our 27 day road trip and many other BW hotels we stayed at.
