KIRO Hiroshima by THE SHARE HOTELS

This room was great, clean and comfortable with room to sit and relax. Interesting breakfast in lovely room that used to be a swimming pool. Good laundry and shared kitchen space if needed.

It was all great.

Zimmer sehr klein und mit muffigem Teppichboden, alles auch schon recht abgenutzt, auch die Betten sind eher klein Zum schlafen ok, mehr aber nicht

Beautiful space, extremely helpful and friendly staff. Coolest lounge/bar (the pool) I’ve ver seen.

Nachdem bestätigt wurde, daß die Klimaanlage defekt is that man uns ein neues Zimmer Gehege , welches groß war.

Das ersetzt mer war sehr klein und die Klimaanlage war nur laut, funktionierte aber nicht. Das Frühstück war sehr überschaubar.

Super Lage, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, sehr gutes Frühstück.

Kein Stauraum für Kleidung. Für 4 Personen war das Zimmer sehr eng.

Before arriving I was looking forward to Share Hotels experience similar to those I had in Kanazawa and Kyoto.

The bedroom carpet looked dirty. Otherwise the room was super small but basically fine. The street seemed to be a meeting place for loud JDM cars or motorbikes during the night. After checking out I parked myself in the Poolside Breakfast space to do some work. There were loads of empty tables and no one queuing to get in. At exactly 14h00 someone came over and told me I had to leave that space. I know rules are important in Japan but the hotel business, the hospitality business, is in part about being hospitable. This was incredibly INHOSPITABLE and really makes me question my loyalty to this brand. Then when I went to the lobby to get a coffee and a piece of cheesecake from the menu the barista told me that the cheesecake had to be pre-reserved via Instagram. Fascinating! There was a I, a real human, trying to buy a piece of cheesecake from another human and he was telling me to transact via social media. How depressing! No wonder the birth rate is plummeting. But this was also a version of being INHOSPITABLE to hotel guests. What would probably have been smart is to take orders on IG but then at least have other cheesecake available for sale to hotel guests who didn't get the memo about ordering on Instagram. This would be HOSPITABLE. Commercially you could even charge different, higher walk-in rates for walk-in cheesecake purchases... KUMU Kanazawa was a great experience in every way. TSUGU Kyoto Sanjo was ok but lacked a decent lounge or hang out space - also their cafe partner forgot to apply the discount guests were supposed to get for buying there. I pointed this out but he didn't do anything about it. KIRO Hiroshima not very hospitable.
