Too corporate in the way it’s run. Too much cost cutting in the way hotel is run fo the detriment of service levels.

"Grand times for young and old"

Our third family visit to CVR was the best so far. There are so many attractions nearby, it is a great destination. Yet the activities and dining options at the resort make it unnecessary to leave the property if you want to stay out of your car for 48 hours. And lunch with the donkeys is a great and unique experience.

Not happy they expected us to bring our bags from the room to the bell desk. What’s the point of bellmen then? It would have taken 3 trips.

"Amazing experience getting married at CVR"

We had our wedding at Carmel Valley Ranch and it could not have been a better experience. From check in to check out the staff was very attentive and thoughtful. We received multiple little gifts in our room and pictures of our engagement set up during our stay. The grounds were beautiful and clean. The rooms were always clean and stocked. Thea was incredible to work with during the whole wedding process and Jason was so helpful during our stay. The bellmen were always very timely and helpful with getting around the property. It was definitely a 5 star experience.

"Nice place, will come next time"

A lot of activities, swimming pools and tennis court. Can spend all day in this place. Nice place to relex. 20 min drive to Carmel.

The bed feels a bit soft for me. At night, I feel a bit hot with the blanket on, but a bit cold without it.

"Sal and Farmer Mark made the trip!"

The resort is beautiful and the rooms are great. They are large, comfortable and the beds are amazing. The staff at the front desk, restaurant, pool and market are not overwhelmingly impressive. There’s no consistency in service and some are actually quite rude. However, the activity staff is amazing! Sal at the corral and Farmer Mark made our trip completely worth it. They both took the time and went out of their way to create an exceptional experience for our 2.5 year old son. Thank you Sal and Farmer Mark for your generosity!
