Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines

The best part of our experience at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines was the wait staff in the restaurant. Our server, Raul, was the most attentive. Even when were not in is area he went out of his way to come by and talk with us. The only problem we had with the restaurant was on the first night we ordered room service. When ordering our meal I had a problem with the person taking our order. I had to continually repeat out room number to the person taking our order. I was told it would take 30 minuets to receive our order. After about 45 minuets I called to the restaurant to check on our order, and was told, by the person that took our order, I had given her the wrong room number. That was not true and I cancelled the order. The most concerning issue was the facility itself. Our room was comfortable, however, the thermostat did not work correctly and we had to turn it off to stop the fan from running constantly, the TV would turn on by itself after we turned it off. The ice machine on our floor was not even there. I had to go to the second floor to get ice, and that machine did not work. For the money we spent I really don't think we will stay there again. Atmosphere was amazing. Service from Christian at the bar was awesome!

The first person who greeted me was Rich Woods! Incredibly kind and helpful! Every morning that I saw him, he asked about my plans for the day… he is genuinely a good person!

I love the downstairs bar & restaurant overlooking s beautiful view of the beach!

Customer service was not the best. Had booked a room overlooking the costal view with a balcony on the 3rd floor and they told me when i got there they ran out of rooms on the 3rd floor so they moved me to a room on the 2nd floor with no balcony. Which they didn’t try to accommodate me at all. It was kinda frustrating bc you pay alot to stay somewhere and you want to get exactly what you pay for.

Finn at Torreyana Grille was absolutely wonderful. Great personalities- we had lots of laughs!! He went above and beyond. If I lived in California I would eat at Torreyana Grille and request him as my server because it really was that great of an experience Thanks Finn!!!!!

Finn and Carlos and the Torreyanna Bar - great service - excellent bar food - guac is a treat - with subtle seasoning and pepitas and the margarita pizza has a thin chewy perfectly cooked crust and local heirloom cherry tomatoes. Service with a smile in an atmosphere that likely requires a bit of tolerance of the guests. Also - housekeeping is incredibly accommodating and goes out of their way to tend to your needs if they see you wandering .
