Op Schiphol. In de ochtend om 05.00 daar zijn is wel een duur hotel waard

Het is een hotel op schiphol. Veel geld en niet even een hoekje met koffie en een snel broodje. En je hebt niet altijd tijd om na de douane wat te nemen. Het was zo'n puinhoop dat iedereen te laat kwam.

Close to arrival hall.

Difficult to find. Google maps sent me to 25 km away. Tried to call hitel and phone was answered via call centre. Took 2 goes to get through and work out tgat google maps was wrong. Entrance with big suitcases is dangerously via escalator.

We booked a Club Executive Room at the hotel for a stopover based on some reviews of the Club Lounge and Hotel that we had read online. These were clearly well out of date. The reception staff imparted virtually no information about the hotel on checking in. Given the premium price we were paying we were surprised to see that we needed to buy water in our room if we wanted it. Reviews we read mentioned welcome fruit platters in the room - there was none of this. The Club Lounge itself had a very limited selection of snacks, basically some chicken nibbles and some cheese. The only redeeming feature was the restaurant where we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast with staff who actually seemed to care. On top of this, there were additional unauthorised charges processed to our credit card which we had to query - these were later credited but no explanation or apology was offered. Frankly, if this is the best the Hilton can do I won’t be staying in another of their properties.
