Hampton Inn Erie-South

I recently hosted a professional conference at this hotel and the staff and facilities were top notch. Everyone was extremely friendly and exceptionally professional. At no time were we ever without a friendly face to help us with our needs. The Director of Sales, Marie, was very helpful with everything that we needed to make our conference go smoothly. And I cannot say enough about Kathy the manager, she was simply amazing. She is truly an asset to the company.

We stayed here as a family to go to Splash Lagoon water park! It was fun and clean and the breakfast was great

We stopped in Erie as a halfway point on a trip to Columbus. Hotel was right off I90 & reasonably priced. Decent sized room with sofa/loveseat. Most noteworthy was Kathy, the manager. Helped us with dinner options as we are vegetarian. In the morning she was greeting guests & helping in dining room. Helped direct us to Presque Isle at the lake. A major plus for the Hilton family.

Wonderful staff easy parking very clean

The staff at the breakfast bar was gracious and accommodating. The staff at the front desk was NOT. she was bold, rude, over bearing. When I would try to speak she would interrupt and make me feel irrelevant. Where as I am pleased with the Hampton I would never stay at that location again. I used my Expedia account to book this trip and a prior one a month earlier in Alexandria bay. I applied for Hilton honors at the 1st place but was told I could not use them because the booking was in my husbands name, and would have to reapply in his name. Our Expedia account is in his name and we used my email and I paid with my credit card. The first booking I went with my friend and had no issues, but at this location in Erie they would not let me check in with my ID my husband was in the rest room. The check in line began to grow and when he came back the tension grew as he showed his ID they wanted his credit card and I tried to say we were using mine. Again I was cut off and argued with in front of a lot of people. I can’t imagine what may have happened if he had been sick again and I had taken my friend again. Would I have been denied access? Even though I booked and pai for it. Iwas very angry and frustrated. Mary V Clark
