On the overall, experience was what you would expect from a Hampton Inn in terms of friendly staff, comfortable room and a standard breakfast. Pool was closed so one day we tried to sit in the patio area. Sadly we had to leave the area after a few minutes cos residents, including an employee residing at the hotel, were smoking in the non smoking patio area, and front desk staff didn’t offer to ask them to move to the designated smoking area. Observed smokers in same non smoking area other days

As a hospitality student at the University of Memphis, I visited Hampton Inn & Suites Memphis-Galleria while working on a hotel operations project, and I had a genuinely positive experience. After struggling to find hotels willing to participate in interviews, the staff here treated me with kindness, professionalism, and patience from the moment I walked in. Even during busy breakfast hours, the front desk staff remained cheerful, organized, and welcoming to both guests and visitors. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The lobby was organized neatly, the breakfast area was active and well managed, and the overall atmosphere felt safe and professional. I especially appreciated the attention to detail throughout the property. I would also like to sincerely thank General Manager Christina Westerman and Housekeeping Supervisor Denise Jones for taking time out of their busy schedules to help me with my project. Speaking with them gave me valuable insight into real hotel operations, teamwork, guest service, and the hospitality industry as a whole. This experience left a very positive impression on me both as a student and as a future hospitality professional. Thank you again to the entire staff for your kindness and professionalism.

The room we were given smelled like urine and the AC was barely working. I was told there were no other rooms. The shower was gross. Old and brown. I reported to the front desk on the smell and AC and he merely wrote it down. Makes me want to rethink Hilton honors.
