The location is great. Easy walk to old town and popular spots. Facilities are modern and clean. Little bit of a view of the castle from the floor we were on. Loved the keypad entry, very easy to use. Wifi worked well. Having a clothes washer was nice. Shopped at Marks and Spencer for food, it was OK but limited.

The setup of the aprtment is in a way so that you cannot comfortably watch TV from either the bed or the couch. There is no dresser and no place to expand your luggage. A folding luggage stand would be a great addition. There is a wardrobe but it only has a couple hangers and the shelves mostly have other things on them. Wardrobe does not accomodate 2 people. We spent the week dressing from our suitcases on the floor. While it says no elevator for upper floors, it would have been nice to be informed beforehand that it was 3 large sets of stairs to the apartment, 63 steps up. That was the top floor though, other units are on first (US second floor) and second floors (US third). The view is mostly a courtyard behind some business buildings but does have a little view of the castle above the surrounding buildings. The recycling setup was hard to figure out - the labels are mixed up :-)

Eccezionale appartamento ubicato nella zona nuova della città (ad un metro da PRINCE STREET) ma, allo stesso tempo, a ridosso del centro storico, precisamente a 500 metri di piacevole passeggiata (10 minuti) dal bellissimo castello di Edimburgo. La fermata del tram da/per l'aeroporto è a 1 minuto di camminata mentre quella del bus "Airlink 100" è a 8 minuti a piedi. A 150 metri si trova un grande supermercato (M&S) , ottimo per fare la spesa, che chiude tutti i giorni alle 21:00. Lo staff è eccezionale, sempre prontissimo a rispondere su whatsup e a fornire consigli. Le due ragazze che ci hanno fatto posare le valige (gratuitamente) prima del check-in erano gentilissime e sempre con un sorriso smagliante.. L'appartamento, pulitissimo e luminosissimo, si trovava al secondo piano senza ascensore (ma non era un problema), aveva tre finestre con una bellissima vista sulla strada sottostante e, in lontananza, sul centro storico di Edimburgo. Arredato con gusto, disponeva di ampi spazi: la cucina, moderna e funzionale, era dotata di piano cottura ad induzione, lavastoviglie e lavasciuga comodissime. Completava la zona giorno un tavolo da pranzo in vetro, un comodissimo divano e una grande smart tv. Il letto matrimoniale non aveva paragoni quanto a comodità, il bagno era dotato di una grande doccia, con temperatura e pressione dell'acqua stupende. Presenti prodotti per l'igiene personale (shampo e bagnoschiuma a volontà), la pulizia delle stoviglie e il lavaggio degli indumenti. Il riscaldamento indipendente era davvero eccezionale. We are two short women, a footstool would have been convenient to reach the glasses in the upper cupboards.

Comfortable, clean, quiet, and spacious apartment in a great central location. It was well equipped for self-catering with all modern amenities. Very comfortable bed with good quality bedlinen. Communication with the host was excellent. Would definitely rebook if we returned to Edinburgh. Highly recommended.
