SRM Hotel Trichy

It may be an old building but, the service and food were extremely commendable. The hospitality of the staff was second to none. Everyone was eager to help and no one ever says no. Overall, this is definitely a great spot to stay at in trichy.

the hotel claims to be 4 star hotel. Nothing could be further from the truth. This place may been good once upon a time but now it is just absolutely not worth booking. The staff are good but the hotel is dying. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Hotel location is far away from the main city with hardly any good restaurants nearby and the food at the hotel is extremely expensive. Rooms are decent size with good view but Maintenance is terrible. This hotel is outdated. Flooring of rooms and baths, wall tiles, fittings are very old and not replaced for years. Poor lighting in rooms. Swimming pool area is pathetic. Lots of mosquitoes in the room. The water heater kettle was rusted. Rooms are damp. One rooms Floor had water seeping from near the entrance. Water would not drain in bathroom while showering. Staff though polite and courteous cannot take any action and are helpless. Buffet breakfast was good. The 2nd day we found the reason for the poor maintenance. The hotel has was on lease for 30 years and it seems the lease payments have not been made to government resulting in the TTDC taking over the hotel. Hotel staff is decent and courteous. Stay away from this hotel.

Restaurant staff is not polite to guests who come with corporate booking. They know its a corporate booking and deal is already done for entire contract. Whatever complaints you do they will not listen . Specially one of staff I personally don't know was so rude that he commented indirectly"jaldi jao time over" as breakfast buffet was finished, not letting us to finish my plate. Felt very bad and insulted I left half eaten plate. Hospitality manners are Zero.

I had a very terrible experience with SRM Hotel. I am a Cabin crew. My airline booked a single room for me. As i was not feeling well I called the hotel and made sure that my booking is single occupancy so that I would be getting uninterrupted sleep. But when I arrived at the hotel. The reception staff ordered me to stay in a sharing room with my co crew stating that all other rooms are booked. How can they accept a booking when my room is already booked for me by my airline as single occupancy basis as I am the leading crew. As per airline policy the leading crew should get a single room as we have post flight duty also like sending flight reports. I checked with my airline and they contacted the hotel. Coordinator from my airline told me that they would provide single room asap. But I hadn't been provided. And the two lady staff at the reception were very rude. They just commanded us to share the room. Being in customer Service industry they have to be empathetic and kind with their guests. I hope management team will provide appropriate training to them to treat their guest in a nice way. If you only care about money not about customer comfort I will never recommend this property to anyone.

One of the best hotels in Trichy. Food rooms cleanliness and polite staffs. I highly recommend this place. Siva Kumar from the buffet square was very friendly and service was great.

The food( The buffet square) is so good, special thanks to Mr. Sivakumar, bakery section Mr.Mani was good in handling and the accommodation was super.
