Had a fantastic night's stay at Deri Down recently. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming, the deluxe room was wonderful. Plenty of room, lovely bedding and a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was stunning and the shower was superb. We had a full welsh breakfast in the morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. Already booked to stay again and can't wait.

I had a lovely experience staying at Deri-down guest house. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described — even better in person! The location was perfect, close to Abergavenny and peaceful and quiet at night. Del and Mike were lovely hosts — friendly, responsive and thoughtful. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, from local tips to helpful recomendations. I’d highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Abergavenny. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area. Thanks for making my trip so comfortable and memorable!

The room was very well kitted out. Spacious and well thought through. There was tea facilities in the room and a fridge. Shampoo and shower gel was also provided with good quality towels and bedding with extra blankets. A large smart TV mounted the wall and you could log into your streaming accounts. There were black out blinds (though didn't fully black out so bring a mask if you're very particular), privacy curtain and full curtain. There is a walk in wardrobe that is very well laid out and has an iron board and iron tucked away. They also provided a very good hair dryer. Everything was thought of at this premises. There is even a breakfast area (order breakfast the night before - very reasonable) where you can bring your take away food if you wish or play games - there is a whole wall length shelving unit of games. The cottage house is about 20minutes walk from the town centre so it isn't too noisy at night despite being along a road. The staff are extremely friendly and kind but also don't hover. So, whatever way you like things, I think this is a place for everyone.

Our only negative is that you might hear people in the morning as it is an older cottage so you can hear creaking floorboards. But thankfully our neighbours and the owners were all as quiet as you could expect! It was really minimal.
