Hostel Casa Xtakay

Family-run hostels are my favourite type of accommodation. Luis and his family make you feel really welcome. The dorm was clean and comfortable, they serve great breakfast that you eat in the beautiful back garden, surrounded by trees and birds. Very well equipped kitchen. Central location - only 2 mins on foot from the main square and 10 mins from ADO bus terminal. Quiet, safe, clean, and comfortable. The wifi was good on the terrace and I was able to work. I would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to everyone and a big hello to Gina the pet chicken!

Die Eigentümer sind überaus gastfreundlich. Das Klima in der gesamten Unterkunft ist sehr familiär. Im Garten sind Schildkröten und ein Huhn. Das traditionelle Mexikanische Frühstück war immer sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Die Küchenausstattung war sehr gut. Die Badausstattung war sehr gut (unsere einzige Unterkunft mit Klobürste in Mexico). Das Personal war extrem freundlich. Es war alles überaus sauber. Wir würden immer wiederkommen.

Es gab regelmäßig ein lautes Brummen in der Nacht. Das war etwas nervig. Kam eventuell von der Haustechnik. Ansonsten wäre der Aufenthalt perfekt gewesen.

Very nice hostel with homemade breakfast (yukatenian dishes, pancakes etc), friendly staff and superb location. There was AC, purified water and coffee available. Convenient free street parking

The facilities are slightly outdated but we didn’t mind that too much.

Large clean room, beautifully decorated with access to a large terrace. Location was right at the city centre with easy parking outside the property. They have a wonderful garden to enjoy breakfast. We were treated so well, had that family-run business vibe. We loved the breakfast, simple but well done and cooked the moment you arrive to the kitchen. Had water facilities to refill bottles. This was our best stay in our trip to Mexico, we spent three nights, highly recommended!

Les hôtes très ouverts et attentionnés, une belle journée d’excursion à chichen itza organisée et de bons conseils pour la suite de notre voyage, le lieu simple et efficace allant à l’essentiel, la chambre triple est spacieuse et très propre avec eau chaude à très bon débit! un beau jardin authentique, le petit déjeuner agréable avec café à volonté, des fruits frais et pancakes ou tacos selon le jour… la localisation est idéale dans le centre ville!
