Prometeo rooms

We stayed one night in Syracuse and the accommodation was fantastic for a night stay. Clean, great location close to train and bus stations. Highly recommend.

Prometeo rooms are a group off ensuite equipped rooms in an ordinary residential apartment block. The rooms are excellent, clean, modern and well equipped. The host Alessandro explained all that was needed plus gave us a map and info on all the tourist attractions.. Close to the railway station, Greek / Roman ruins, but 1.5Km to Ortegia.

The breakfast, available 3 minutes away was only traditional Sicilian!, a pastry and a coffee.

First of all I must say Alessandro is a great host. He is very friendly, gives us all information we need and does everything to please his guests. As for the room itself it is very spacious, clean, has nice balcony to sit. A free bottle of water and coffee was provided to us.

One very litle inconvenient thing was not having a tap in the kitchen. We, people from eastern Europe love to drink a lot of tea and having to go back and forth from the room to the kitchen to fill the water was weird. Other than that I can fully recommend the place and Alessandro as a host.

The best bed & mattress: slept like a baby. Room was really nice and we could watch the open market from our balcony.

Although the flat itself is not in noisy area, the elevator 's sound may wake you up in the night if you're not used to it. Parking in the neighbourhood may be a headache if you don't want to pay for it.

Good location - easy to walk to Ortigia but in a local area with coffee, supermarket etc. owner was friendly and helpful. We really liked this place, thanks!

Confortable room. Alessandro is a very friendly host, gave us a city map and very good suggestions for restaurants (pasta at 7 spezie were one of the best we had during our trip!). About 20mn away from old town by walk, and 5/10mn to archeological area.

Bad isolation, at 6.30 in the morning a neighbor had a shower for a long time. It woke us up, impossible to go back to sleep. The building is quite dirty and smelly. But Prometeo apartment super clean and recently renovated.
