River View Garden Resort

I enjoyed the gardens. The room had a nice patio facing the river.

No breakfast. Coffee pot is room but no cups. No table or lamp next to bed.

The location of the property is excellent. It is beside the river, beautiful surrounding and one can walk and dip in the river. But the condition of the property is not good. This is the only drawback of the property

Was a nice rustic, quaint place to stay by the river.

Not good value for price. Very dated; many spiders roaming around room, no cups for in-room coffee maker, did not have clean towels when stayed two nights. Have to enter through the back of property which door locks need fixing. Have to struggle to open front door. Bathroom small and curtains do not provide privacy in bathroom. No hair dryer. Needs renovations desperately!

Staff is great and area is great, 15 - 20 minutes to sonoma coast state park! But the place is completely outdated, not close to good dining, unless you drive. The outside area is dirty, full of dead bugs and the room had dead bugs on the windowsils and stained carpet, also had no fans or air conditioning, it's very very hot at night. Not sure it would be my first choice to stay again there.

The setting was ok for a spot on the river but really needed better upkeep by the river

We booked a specific room that worked well for my surgery recovery and comfier looking layout based pn what i chose on the site. Drove all the way there to get stuck in a different room with no apology whatsoever for the inconvenience, no reimbursement options, etc. That night we asked about other options and was told there was no rooms available. By 6am somehow there was all of a sudden 3 options. Hm wierd. Was rudely told dogs werent allowed unless they were service dogs even though pets were shown to be allowed on the site which owner tried to argue false and could not prove his point with the write up he showed us to attempt to prove his point. This argument began at 6:30 am the next morning as he rudely approached my gf as she walked our dog. Our puppy is a less than 9 month old Corgy so lets cause a stink over this? The people in the room next to us had a pair of larger breed pups that clearly were not service dogs either. The fridge in the room was broken and missing temp control so our prepped food for weekend was done for over night, the stove had a broken part on bottom that was hanging off and front door for room had a 1" gap to floor with no cold/bug barrier. During our argument about our stay with the owner i was at one point asked "if I was going to control my girl friend"? All because he would not answer any questions asked and kept passing off all our complaints but as a business owner myself who says that these days? Yes anyone would get upset in this situation. This wasnt even everything we dealt with but some key points to this experience. We were staying for the weekend however our stay ended up from 8pm to 8am to rid ourselves of any further dissapointments here.

This has now become my new yearly Memorial Day holiday spot. I was greeted immediately by the gentleman who is in charge here and each day he met my husband dog and I with an amazing attitude and smile. It was so peaceful that I didn’t want to leave.
