Hampton Inn Salina

The courtesy extended by front desk staff in trying their level best to make my stay comfortable. Example is their quick act of ordering & getting a humidifier for the room which helped me get back to normal after a day of sickness and travel back home at comfort.

Convenience, price, cleanliness

Clean, pool and hot tub, fitness room, good shower, comfortable beds, hotel provided late check out

Could hear noise in room above clomping around and dropping things, breakfast was pretty average

In good repair, very clean. Breakfast was ok and they were wonderful to everyone’s dogs, ours included. And it was very quiet.

Breakfast area was too small for the number of guests. Hard to find a seat at some times in the morning.

The first night was really cold and we couldn’t figure out how to get the heat on and the room smelled slightly of mildew. They replaced the thermostat for the next night, but when we got back to our room, the mildew smell was overwhelming, but again, too tired to do anything but fall into bed… C/O time comes and again, we tell the front desk that there is something wrong with the room, there is water damage on the wall In the bathroom, to the point that the trim has fallen off, they may not want to book that room till it gets fixed. Front desk replied that she couldn’t do anything because I wasn’t a Hilton rewards member. I wasn’t seeking compensation, just trying to warn them. Then I called the Hilton rewards after I got home, because front desk said my booking.com and Hilton rewards link, but they don’t. I tried to report that the room had some potential water damage and they were more concerned about whether or not I wanted a refund. Idk- don’t stay in 313. I wasn’t seeking refund, I was warning of a situation.
