"Extremely poor (BAD) service"

Nothing at all. Poor service and homestay facilities ( Dirty rooms and toilet)

I booked two nights, 15/16 dec, and 16/17 dec, each night two rooms, for my sister and children. I requested late night ( 16 dec/ 1 am Ujung Pandang local time) checked in . Hotel confirmed the booking but sent a phone number to contact them for special request. The mobile phone number given, never been picked up ( we called twice). My sister and children arrived by boat late at night. They went to the homestay. No reception there, only the guard. The guard rejected them. The guard let them sit outside of the homestay in the middle of the night. One child was very sick, youngest child started to get ill outside. I gave the homestay special mobile phone number to my sister. She contacted the number from Ujung Pandang, never been picked up. I then tried to contact booking.com then sent email with picture to customer service. Finally, my sister had to book other hotel at 3 am in the morning and spent the rest of the night in another. Around afternoon, they checked in (16/17 dec) at this homestay because we already paid for it. They asked the receptionist why didn't they pick up the phone, why didn't they let the guests check in. The receptionist turned his/her back from my sister and just went on with other things. Later the receptionist came and ask my sister do you want to check in yes/or no. My sister and her children used the second night booking, check in 16 dec, 1 pm. However, this is a huge disappointment in terms of service provided. First of all, when we made booking with special request, we assume the accommodation will read it. Second, if the hotel accommodation can't accept the special request, they could reject the reservation and the payment. Third, if the accommodation accept the booking and sent the customer a special mobile number to contact them regarding special request, then they should answer the phone. Calling the given number from Switzerland twice, and calling from Ujung Pandang too.

" Dreadful experience"

A dreadful experience. Awful trouble at check in. I had an advance booking and confirmation number which I provided at check in. They had no idea who I was or what I was saying. Nobody spoke english they kept insisting I had to pay again. 30 minutes of argument until I saw my name on a list and pointed to it. Dreadful room and terrible location. will never go back.
