The staff was really really approachable and helpful. The place was good looking and at a good spot.

The bed and pillows was very uncomfortable. The wc was really small. There wasn't any place to put out towels on. Also the breakfast wasn't tasty and traditional

Very narrow bathroom. Using the toilet seat was a challenge. Some more accessories would be helpful- hangers in the bathroom, soap stands, spare sockets next to bed for charging, etc. Some dogs were barking all night. It was not property's fault , just annoying.

The location is one of the only redeeming factors. It's right by the main square. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I will be amiss if I did not stress how welcoming the receptionist was.

The central location is also one of the worst aspects of the hotel -- the rooms are above the main thoroughfare in the village, so expect lots of foot traffic below your windows and lots of noise from people leaving the tavernas or music from a nearby club. Also, be prepared for a nocturnal symphony of dog barking from dusk till dawn. You'll find little solace in the fact that in the morning you'll see these same dogs peacefully dozing off beneath a tree shadow. The room is small and the bed is narrow. If you or your partner enjoy spacious sleeping quarters, you'll be disappointed. The bathroom is even tinier. And there is a wire sticking out of a socket. I hope it's not a live wire. But the worst part is the lack of air conditioning. The receptionist tried to explain the lack of an ac unit by claiming that none of the hotels in Makrinitsa has AC, but we've stayed at three hotels and while one didn't have AC, the other one did. We were advised to open the windows wide. However, the noise drove me crazy and we contemplated leaving in the middle of the night and searching for another place in nearby Volos.

Perfect location, stunning views, lovely staff and a comfortable bed. Very close to the centre and a very quiet area. Perfect.

The view was very nice, as well as the room itself. It reminded us of a traditional Greek house with the comfort and the amenities of a hotel. The staff were extremely polite and the breakfast great!

Pilioritiko Spiti is located in the centre of Makrinitsa which made our stay comfortable . The room was very cozy with a fantastic view over the sea and the main street of the village. The host Aggeliki, was very friendly, happy to answer questions and provide information. The breakfast she served was delicious. The place overall is worthwhile to stay and spent quality holidays in a traditional space .

There is a local shop across the street with 3 or 4 dogs that bark and howl all hours of the night and are joined by other stray dogs. I couldn't get a good sleep both nights. Better sound insulation could help with this but this is not really a problem of the room as most rooms around the village square probably are affected by this.
