Il Maggese

Il Maggese is a beautiful property with everything you might need for a relaxing holiday. Flavia is a wonderful host who takes great care of her guests (one small example was that she placed a cushion in the high chair for our daughter as she was a bit small for the high chair). The breakfast is superb, with lots of home made food. We also had dinner one night and it was delicious. The swimming pool and the area surrounding the pool are perfect. We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful, tranquil property for a relaxing stay. Flavia and Roberto were such kind and warm hosts who were always very helpful. A highlight were the amazing homemade dinners prepared for us each night, which felt like a true culinary experience. Our villa was charming and clean, perfect for taking in the surrounding nature. We hope to be back again in the future!

Truly an authentic gem! This beautiful property is masterfully maintained! Our accommodations were meticulously clean, breakfast was homemade and plentiful, while dinner was even more amazing outdoors in the garden park!

Excellent location. Lovely accommodation. Flavia very friendly, helpful and accommodating. About 5 minutes drive to Cortona and in a peaceful setting. Had a dinner one evening and a lovely 3 course Italian home cooked meal. No hesitation recommending this place.

My partner and I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at Il Maggese, hosted by the wonderfully warm Flavia. Our week-long retreat was nothing short of magical, and we cannot sing enough praises for this enchanting countryside haven. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning rural setting that surrounded Il Maggese. Nestled amidst rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves, this Tuscan gem exudes tranquility and timeless beauty. The landscape alone is enough to take your breath away, but it's just the beginning of what makes this place truly special. Our accommodation was a charming slice of history, with all the modern amenities we could wish for. The spacious rooms were beautifully decorated, each full of historic character and attention to detail. From the antique furnishings to the rustic wooden beams overhead, Il Maggese effortlessly blends old-world charm with contemporary comfort. Now, let's talk about the culinary masterpiece that awaited us each evening. Flavia's four-course meals were a gastronomic journey through Tuscany's finest flavours. Every dish was meticulously prepared and featured locally sourced ingredients that burst with freshness and authenticity. Whether it was the homemade pasta in a rich ragu sauce, the succulent roasted meats, or the decadent tiramisu, each meal was a delightful surprise that left our taste buds dancing with joy. The wine selection, straight from the vineyards surrounding us, was the perfect complement to Flavia's culinary artistry. One of the highlights of our stay was the introduction to Selva, the charming 6-month-old Italian Spinone puppy. Selva quickly became our furry friend, bringing an extra layer of warmth and joy to our stay. Her playful antics and boundless energy were contagious, and we looked forward to our daily encounters with her as we explored the beautiful grounds of Il Maggese.

Immaculate retreat located in beautiful Tuscan country side with easy access by car to Camucia and Cortona. Flavia and Roberto could not have been more kind and hospitable. Beautiful olive oil, wine and ancient grain pasta producers. Great catering for stay when requested. All amenities provided and superb, quiet pool area with maintained gardens and shade from mature trees. The best of many stays in Tuscan agriturismos to date, immersed in luxury and nature.
