"Wonderful staff, very comfortable room with great location in Gion"

The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from one of the entrances to the Gion-shijo station for the Keihan line, and there are many great shops and restaurants within a 15 minute walk. The hotel staff were wonderful, and the entire building smelled lovely and clean. The room was a little small for two people who brought three pieces of luggage each, but we made it work. This is a very comfortable place to stay for solo travelers or couples!

We only did laundry once during our stay here, and there was a small fee to use the machine on the first floor. It's a washer and dryer in one machine, but our clothes were a little damp when they were done. The fee wasn't the problem, but the damp clothes were a little inconvenient.

Location was great- very central to main touristy spots and in a beautiful part of town. Close to train stations as well and a 7/11 a 4 minute walk away. Staff were lovely and went above and beyond for us.
