Everything… so clean! Every time!

I stayed at the hotel for two nights, Dec 26 & 27, 2025 and there some things that if I had known would have made me stay elsewhere. THE BED I stayed in a King Bed Room and the sheets looked like they had not been changed since the previous occupant. When I asked about it at the desk, they said that they do not press the sheets after laundering them. That may be the case, but it still leaves the impression that they may not have been laundered, and who wants to begin a stay at a hotel by first having to peel off the comforter and sheets and pillowcases, looking for signs of another person? Very poor. THE RESTAURANT The website says that the hotel has an "On-Site Restaurant". It does not. The nearest source of food is a Chinese take away which is ~100 yards away across the car park. Then a supermarket. There is no restaurant per se within walking distance. The hotel does offer for sale a small range of prepackaged food suitable for microwaving. THE ROOM The shower was great, the room was clean and the facilities on the TV were very good - I was able to sign into my own netflix account, for example. The free WiFi was fast. However, while the room had a fridge it did not have a microwave - so if you bought a meal at the front desk, the only place to heat it is the single microwave in the lobby. The room did not have a coffee-maker, so if you want coffee you need to go to the lobby to get it and risk spilling it on the way back to your room. The room did not have ANY object of any description that would hold liquid, so you either need to go to the lobby to get a coffee cup, or spool water with your hand to brush your teeth. THE BREAKFAST Breakfast began at 6 but was available ~15-20 minutes earlier. The scrambled eggs were good and not dried out when I got to them, which was before 6am. The sausage patty (day 1) and the Canadian Bacon (day 2) were not great. CONCLUSION I shan't return to this hotel, and it has put me off TRU hotels generally. I know this is an economy hotel chain but regardless, I'd expect to find a microwave and coffee maker in the room. I was traveling for work and chose the hotel for its location and as a male traveling alone, I'm used to roughing it a little, but the bed thing is a dealbreaker for me. I'd never take my wife or grandchildren there. If you use this hotel - and perhaps the TRU chain generally, I'd take a blacklight. This hotel doesn't deserve to have the Hilton name associated with it.

This has by far been the best experience my family and I have had in a long while. Let me start by saying thank you to the staff at Tru Hilton! Ms Shirley, thank you for your warm spirit and holiday cheer! Breakfast was amazing and the beautiful decorations made it worth getting up and coming down for breakfast to start the day! Ms Leanna, thank you for the beautiful service and stopping a few minutes just to have conversation. Thank you to hospitality specialist in assisting my grandmother with the few essential items that was needed. The rooms were immaculate! If you happen to be in Georgetown, DE and need a place to stay please come here and you will understand and feel the difference that this entire staff brings to make sure the guests are taken care of! I plan on coming back down and this is where I will be coming! Happy Holidays to all of you and I hope you all get a raise because it is truly deserved!
