Villa Markoc

Perfect size for couple with very nice pool and communal area. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent shower and very nice balconies. Well maintained and quiet at night. Shop nearby

Excellent property. The location is up the hill outside town so the walk might be tough for some but there is a short, inexpensive bus service if needed. Didn’t bother us but can see why it’s in the reviews. We were there for 12 nights so while fresh bath towels were provided regularly I would have expected fresh pool towels also at some point but no big issue as laundry service available and we just washed them. Similarly sheets were changed early in our stay but not on week 2 so again for relatively long stay I would have expected fresh bed linen in week 2. Very well equipped kitchen overall and we were able to cook as needed but no coffee pot or machine in the apartment which was surprising. There was one in the open area by the pool but very few pods and none available to buy to local shop.

Apartment was immaculately clean, spacious, extremely comfortable, and very well-equipped. Everything anyone could need in the kitchen, and a good shower with plenty of hot water. Lots of storage space. The outside garden area was peaceful, beautiful, and I loved the swimming pool and hot tub and the amazing views. It’s a 10 minute walk down into beautiful Cavtat. I’ve enjoyed the exercise involved in the hilly walk back, but buses are easy, cheap, and every half hour.

I liked everything about it, although next time will choose an apartment on a higher floor, with balcony and views

Our apartment was amazing. Large bed with really comfy mattress and pillows. I need a good sleep! Large wardrobe with plenty of hangers The shower room was well equipped with hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Towels were changed every three days and extra loo rolls supplied. We didn't expect that. Large sofa in the lounge with good size TV. Well equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster with a dining area. Our balcony overlooked the pool and the most amazing view. Exceptional. The owner gave us a warm welcome and was on hand if you needed her. The lady who cleaned and looked after the complex was so kind and attentive a real gem. The facilities were the best I have experienced. Pool, hot tub, sauna, gym and outside barbeque eating area for guests to use. Beautiful gardens with tortoises in one garden. All immaculately kept. . We totally enjoyed our stay at Villa Markoc and would highly recommend a stay here. Thanks to everyone who made our holiday exceptional.

The centre is about a 20 minutes walk downhill. We were not looking forward to the return walk but found the local bus to Dubrovnik and for €1.65 we took the bus. We found a solution but may not suit everyone.
