CAStayed at the Banff Ptarmigan Inn recently and unfortunately had a very bad experience after using the spa facilities. Shortly afterwards, my partner developed a severe fungal rash that required a doctor’s visit and medication. Medical professionals advised it was most likely contracted from an unclean spa or hot tub environment. What was most disappointing was the response from management. Rather than showing any concern or offering even partial compensation or goodwill, the manager immediately denied responsibility and dismissed the issue entirely. No real investigation, no empathy, and no attempt to resolve the situation despite the medical costs involved. I understand hotels can’t control every circumstance, but cleanliness and proper spa maintenance are basic expectations, and customer care afterwards matters just as much. The complete lack of accountability left a very poor impression. Would not stay here again and would strongly caution others about using the spa facilities.
