Hana-Maui Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Residence

Resort is beautiful and excellent. Sea view room was so good and I would visit the resort, without hesitation, if I visit Hāna again.

Beautiful resort in remote Hana. Lovely pools with a pool bar and amazing views. We have been to Hana many times over the years and love it. I hope they get busy enough to open the restaurant in the hotel for all meals.

We celebrated our 1 year engagement anniversary in Maui and chose to stay at the Hana Maui resort after a long drive from the road the Hana. Checking in late and exhausted, the spacious Oceanside bungalows were truly magical and the rolling hills all the way to the ocean were so peaceful. We were so excited to check out all the resort amenities the next day, but told at check in that we should ask the next day for late checkout even as Hyatt globalists. The next morning we were having breakfast at 9 when we were told we had to vacate the room at 11a even though we were planning to stick around the eastern side of the island the whole day. The resort definitely was not busy and did not appear to be at full capacity. To add salt to injury, the front desk called before 10:50 to make sure we're leaving on time and the staff knocked excessively as we were rushing to finish our packing to escort us off property at 11, 1105 and 1110...it left a sour taste to what could have been a beautiful stay in Hana.

For what we spent on this hotel, I expected so much more. Location was great, everything else was not The hot tub on the deck blocked the view from the sofa inside. The remote for the air conditioner refused to respond. Disposable water bottles, instead of reusable ones. The chaise lounge and hot tub on the deck were positioned so that they were not covered by the roof line, making them unusuable in the rain we had while we were there. The hotel didn't have the room I reserved available, so to get a comparable room, I was going to be charged $200 additional. That is not acceptable. I will tell everyone I know not to bother - save your money and spend it somewhere more deserving.

We were skeptical when we first arrived due to the age of the property and lack of TV in the room for sleeping at night. It was a beautiful bungalow that we were upgraded to without asking for, with 2 queen beds and an awesome view. This property is on the water, with chairs on the shoreline set up for sunrise viewing. We would definitely stay here again.

Killer hotel for the price. The bungalow was awesome. Worth the additional fee. Beautiful place. Wish we stayed longer. Way quieter and more vibe and way better food than our giant resort in Kaanapali. Make this a part of your Maui vacation. No beach access on resort (rocky but beautiful) but Hamoa beach up the road is awesome.

We went on our babymoon to Hyatt Hāna Maui and we had the most amazing time! The staff was extremely kind and helpful and made our special occasion extra special for us. The hotel property is also near some of the most beautiful sights in Maui! We are already telling our family and friends that we need to come back next year!
