The cafe/restaurant was closed.

The hotel clearly tried to think of everything to make the guests feel welcome. The lobby shop, coffee/tea all day, play area for kids, fire pits and outdoor seating were all welcoming. The rooms are large, clean, quiet and comfortable. The cafe, while small with a focused menu, was fresh and tasty. And look no further for a tour than Wild Expeditions operating in the property. We did the Sunset Valley of the Gods tour, which was excellent.

Made reservations months ago. I sent several emails to hotel requesting a specific room, the one we had for a prior stay. Never received a reply. When checking in we were assigned an upstairs suite. We had to make a change and ended up with the least desirable location at the very end, a long way across the lot from the pool. Ok about this, things happen. But we noticed a change in the staffs attitude. They didnt smile and greet you, they seem quiet and uninterested. In addition the shower door in our bath would not stay closed and the soap dish was falling off the wall. Not real impressive for this caliber of property. The week before our visit we were told that the restaurant was down for repairs, but orders could be placed for takeout and the twin creeks restaurant around the corner was open according to the brochure in the room, which it wasn't. In fact most of the dining options were closed, presumably off season. Compared to our high expectations based upon a wonderful prior visit we were sadly disappointed.

Location was awesome as well as the atmosphere of chilling and relaxing after exploring local canyons. Very comfortable and accessible.

We love staying at The Bluff Dwellings . We have stayed several times in the rooms , dwellings and the Tipis. The hot tub is amazing ! The night skies are always so beautiful . The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

This was a last-minute booking, as I needed a place to stay in the area with my dog. A $100 non-refundable pet fee for a single night felt excessive, especially in a region where lodging is limited and pet-friendly options are even more scarce. I would have much preferred to spend that money in the gift shop or restaurant — to support the business in a more positive way. The check-in process required multiple trips to the front desk, and I also had to make additional trips just to get ice, which was inconvenient. The upstairs room itself was lovely. However, I was able to hear the downstairs guests throughout the night, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. I work in the hospitality industry and hesitated to write a review like this, but I believe honest feedback is important. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this location for a single-night stay or a family adventure
