Sheen Falls Lodge

The hotel is well located to explore the Killarney Lakes, the Ring of Kerry and, farther, the Dingle Peninsula. Rooms are nice and comfortable, bathrooms could benefit from a retrofit. Staff is uneven, from excellent to appalling. I was thrown out of the pool by a young employee because I was quietly swimming with my teenager boy after 6pm, outside of kids hours, even though there wasn’t anyone in the area. Additional activities are proposed but the tariffs are improperly communicated. Upon check out there were several mistakes in the bill, including a spa treatment that never was (they of course rectified). The bistro is nice and good value with friendly staff, the formal restaurant is terrible (undercooked fish!)

I will rarely ever say this about a hotel: this is a definite wow. You get the full experience here, and every part of it is great. Phenomenal restaurant (and I really mean world-class) with fresh local ingredients, a beautiful and impeccably kept property, a really nice spa, top notch live music, and very helpful staff. We're on to driving the Ring of Kerry now but I have to admit we're sad to leave. This is the kind of place you really want to come back to. Again, I never say this and hardly ever write reviews - but these folks deserve it.

I would highly recommend The sheen Falls Hotel. The rooms are kept to a very high standard, the staff are extremely helpful and polite. Fabulous menu and the grounds of the hotel are amazing.

Beautiful property with excellent service. We booked the Falls Suite which was incredibly scenic and spacious. The breakfast in the morning included an extensive gourmet buffet and a menu of freshly prepared selections. My husband set up the falconry experience which was truly memorable. The public rooms at the hotel were beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend a stay at Sheen Falls. The ambiance, service, restaurant, bar and rooms are spectacular. The hotel is just 5 minutes from the beautiful town of Kenmare.

Lovely to see an open fire on arrival; staff are lovely, particularly in the restaurant; food was delicious & views from the bedroom & restaurant are so pretty

Fabulous hotel with very friendly staff and beautiful decor throughout. Very relaxing and warm. Leisure center was a let down but overall had a great few days

I felt that the food portions were indeed too small. ,I realize it was supposed to very Nouvous however there were no veggies nor potatoes and order was an extra 5 Euros each !! This is not Paris nor New York. The Hotel was lovely and service terrific and view outstanding. They just have to work on their food.I will tell friends who are thinking of going there to plan to eat in town !!!!
