Super 8 by Wyndham Columbia City

Very damp in the hotel and our room smelled like urine after the cover up smell disapated.

It was within my budget

I wish there had been bagels and cream cheese for breakfast. The bananas were too ripe for me.

Nothing.

The facility definitely needs extensive updates. It is very old and raggedy, and their breakfast was a real joke. It appears that they also house homeless/needy people.

The building is in very bad shape. The floors are rotted in spots. The breakfast was lacking. The carpet was stapled together. The outside of the building looks like it should be condemned.

We stay at the Super 8 every time we are in Columbia City, IN visiting relatives. The place is always fine. Definitely no frills or extras but clean and that is always my main must have. However, this time, the mattresses were definitely creaky, and the springs were felt, making the sleep a bit uncomfortable. I think room 109 needs new mattresses. :)

I'm not sure why this place rated so highly on Hotels.com. It was OK, but certainly nothing special. The place was clean and quiet. The room showed its age, and badly needs a refresh. Lighting was poor. The front desk was not manned most of the time. I had to use the phone to call them. It was just OK.
