We had a wonderful stay, largely thanks to the exceptional staff. Everyone we interacted with — from the young woman completing her hotelier studies and breakfast waitress to the repairman and gardener — was incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming to both us and our child. The hospitality throughout the hotel truly stood out and made a lasting impression. The gardens are beautiful and the location is absolutely stunning. Walking from the hotel up to the castle genuinely feels like stepping into a fairytale. The surrounding atmosphere is peaceful, charming, and very special. The bed was large and very comfortable, and our private balcony quickly became our favorite place to sit and relax outdoors. We also really appreciated the coffee machine in the room.

While breakfast was good overall, the food selection felt slightly disjointed and somehow incomplete. There was a wide variety of items on offer, but it never quite came together into the kind of breakfast experience that made us want to linger and fully enjoy the morning. I also personally did not enjoy the taste of the coffee served at breakfast. There are also a few smaller quality-of-life details that could improve the stay. For example, additional glassware in the rooms would be helpful. The bathroom sink design was unfortunately impractical. The tap sat so low over the basin that washing hands felt awkward, and it was impossible to refill the in-room coffee machine under the bathroom tap, which was the only available water source in the room. Lastly, I felt the shared outdoor spaces — especially given the beautiful location and weather — were quite underutilized. The loungers and outdoor seating areas looked lovely, but somehow felt inaccessible or unwelcoming. We did not use nor see anyone using any of the outdoor spaces the entire stay.
