The hotel is extremely clean (everyone needs to take their shoes off before entering the hotel). Great location - steps away from the town center but tucked in a quiet alleyway.

"Lousy room heater."

The room is very big and comfortable. There are 2 layers of windows, the external layer is unable to close properly and sometimes the cold air keeps coming in. The heater in the room is not very useful in keeping the room warm as it is not strong enough.

It is very convenient and only one street behind the yubatake , all the facilities of the hotel are new, the staffs are professional and the attitude are excellent. A small episode happened, saying that before the check-in time, our child's Scooter's wheel fell off on the way, so we took it to the hotel and ask the hotel staff to borrow some tools to repair it when we came back to check-in later. When we returned to hotel, the staff stated that they had repaired the scooter and put in our room. Otherwises, we had booked the Deluxe Twin Room with Mini Kitchen and Private Hot Spring but they upgraded our room to the largest room for us, the room surprised us a lot.

New hotel but feel not good for my experience. 1, no parking and very difficult to find a hotel. 2, check out time is 10am, its early 1hrs than other hotel. 3, staff not enough and not helpful.

We have fantastic time at Kusatsu Onsen Gensen Ichinoyu. We’re in love with this place! The service is fantastic, everything will kindly be arranged for you. The room was really comfortable, with an amazing bed. The Onsen was clean and the water was hot and healing. We would definitely recommend Gensen Ichinoyu to everyone. We loved our stay and we miss the place!

Service was superb, facilities was great. Location was horrible, we couldn’t find the place at all for the fact that we are driving n we hv to go 5 times round n round the Kusatsu town n yet couldn’t find the place. There was no place to park n finally we park our car at the sister hotel... n took their shuttle bus to the hotel. When we finally found the exact location of the hotel, we hv to carry 2 heavy luggage’s through 20 stairs of staircase... oh gosh.. can’t believe it was so inconvenient.. we will not recommend this hotel to any1. Thank you
