Bufo Alvarius

This is quite an unusual place but I really enjoyed my time here. The accommodation consisted of a set of rooms located on two levels at the back of their garden well away from the reception and main entrance. The room is accessed via a tropical garden of palm trees with hammocks and a pool, so all very exotic. Being away from the main road and entrance, it was very quiet and peaceful and so I enjoyed an excellent night's sleep. There was an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and a downstairs kitchen area where guests can prepare their own meals. There are plenty of facilities for tourists (restaurants, shops, bureau de change) along the road outside and they have parking spaces for cars on a side lane which gives access to the garden area. It is only a couple of miles from the archaeological site of Tulum. The staff spoke English which is a real plus as I found that in many hotels in Mexico English was not widely spoken.

Lovely place and nature mood was greatly appreciated. Staff was friendly and nice. Room is well furnished and comfy.

Soap was missing in the shower.

La estancia fue agradable y cómoda. Pileta con agua limpia. Sauna para los huéspedes a las 5 pm gratis. Habitaciones pequeñas con cama muy cómoda, con aire acondicionado. Lo más importante es que está a unos pasos de Chedraui y de La comer que te permite hacer compras de todo tipo.
