"You MUST stay there - FANTASTIC !"

This is among the five best hotels where I have stayed in EVER ! Beautiful old building with atmosphere - excellent breakfast freshly prepared - wonderful room in every way - and the ENVIRONMENT : VERY close to a nice town square with restaurants, shopping e.t.c. and close to no less than FIVE lakes along beautiful memorial parks, neighborhoods and with wonderful hiking possibilities. AND half-a-mile south a university containing LOTS of amazing Frank Lloyd Wright arcitecture

The WiFi was unstable because it goes through a problematic Hilton gateway. But this is a Hilton problem - NOT a problem of the hotel...

"Modern conveniences in a historic hotel. Great food and a great rest."

Breakfast selections were great. We ate with local family members for breakfast each morning and everyone got what they wanted - from foodies to traditionalists. Location of tables in a bright sunny location was a good way to start the day as family. Jeremy, the concierge, was our first contact and set a wonderful, welcoming tone and throughout our stay. Salvador in the restaurant was of particular note. Though not our server, he stepped up to refill coffee cups and water glasses, more butter, etc. John, the Food Service manager, inquired each breakfast on making our meals even better. Our 9th floor room was very clean with a pretty view of downtown and a lake. Of note: our private car parking was extremely convenient in a safe, gated lot next to the hotel itself. We travel abroad regularly and always stay in hotels with 2025 Forbes 5-Star ratings. The Terrace Hotel was very much to our taste. Thank you all.

higher level rooms are great, location is excellent and breakfast is very good. The staff are the very best.

Floors 2 and 3 are not the best. Takes some time to get hot water running.

"Bad experience"

It was close to my parents house.

It’s by the railroad downtown so you could literally hear everything including the people from the bars cussing & fighting in the parking garage across the street. There was no hot water the 1st night we were there, not sure if they use solar panels but my shower was freezing but was fixed the 2nd night. They did a fire inspection the day we were leaving that no lie went on for approximately 2 hrs while we were attempting to get ready, really could’ve scheduled that in the afternoon after guests are checked out & the staff is cleaning the rooms. Just bad planning on theirs & the fire department. Wasn’t a good experience.
