Our host Lesley was wonderful and has two great thumping cats that are very friendly. The room was nice and clean; the bed was comfortable.

The entrance to the drive is tricky. You have to enter a bus stop, then make a tight turn into the driveway. It's not obvious how to get into it. Once you figure it out, it's not hard, but the first approach is a bit daunting.

Breakfast was ok, staff were good.

There was a noisy bus stop outside (or something like that), where people were shouting after 11.30pm). There were no pictures of the exterior, so it wasn't what I was expecting.

I cannot rate my stay with Lesley highly enough. I stay in a lot of hotels and B&B's for both business and pleasure and this is by far the most comfortbale and enjoyable stay I have had. The standard of cleanliness is excellent, and every little detail for a guest's comfort has been thought of in the rooms. Lesley took my breakfast order the night before and the quality of the ingredients was superb with a good range of cereals and yoghurts and fresh juice on offer. Lesley is friendly and attentive wthout hovering allowing me to enjoy my breakfast. Their is a bus stop outside the B&B which takes you to Basingstoke District Hospital before taking you right outside Basingstoke train station and then on to the main bus station. This was a bonus for me as I was travelling by train and I will get a bus next time to save me a taxi fare.

A busy road outside but double glazed windows shuts out the noise fairly effectively!
