The location is the best part, and a great price in what is otherwise a generally expensive town. The host is very clear on the check in hours so there's no surprises. He also lets you leave your bag before check in / after check out. There was nobody working on the construction on the Friday and the weekend I was there - it wasn't until Monday morning when I checked out that they showed up and started making a noise and blocking the entrance/exit door. Again the host is explicit about there being construction so there's no surprises. The balcony was right next to a church and was good for people watching.

The whole building seems to be like the leaning tower of Pisa - mostly noticeable when you climb the stairs around the elevator and it's all leaning towards the elevator - not a big problem but when I put a drink of water on a chair in the room it meant it fell on the floor from the lean! Could've used a little more surface space in the room. A fridge would also be great seeing as there's no kitchen. There is only one shared bathroom - with both the shower and toilet in it. I'm not sure how many rooms share it but it's at least two. I didn't have too many problems with waiting until the day I checked out. These are just minor problems and the benefits far outweigh the downsides - for the price and location it's great.

The location is unbeatable,right in the heart of the old town,100 yards from the promenade.I paid £112 for 4 nights accommodation during the week when the Europa League Final was being held down the road in Bilbao.This was extremely cheap compared to what was being offered around the town.As such the room is pretty basic but not uncomfortable.Shampoo & soap was offered.The shared bathroom was big & included a bidet.Nice shower & pretty powerful.Free wi-fi.

Currently the communal hallway leading up to the apartment is being renovated & the lift was out of action,I would imagine that within 3 months this work will be completed.

The location is excellent - right within the downtown old town of San Sebastián! The value for the location is excellent! If you plan to spend very little time in your hotel room it is a good enough option!

Check in is a little tricky with specific availability times. When you arrive at the building it is unmarked from the street, you go inside and up a sketchy flight of stairs to the 2nd floor and knock on an unmarked door. Bicycles can be stored within your room.

Good location in the city and easy access to restaurants and bars. Reasonable room rates even in the city. My room was very quiet with no impact from the elevator constructions. Shampoo & body soap and bath towel & small towel served at free charge. Reception was mostly closed but good communication with staff via whatApp.

TV table was unstable and the opening door of clothes chest was loud. I felt a little cold in the room but the heater turned off. Most guests would be surprised that my room floor and the stairs climbing on the hotel are not flat but personally I like it as a classical building.
