Malibu Beach Inn

From the moment you arrive to the time you depart its an amazing experience . The front desk check -in and departure , guest services , restaurant staff all go above and beyond to make it a memorable experience that will make want to come back again and again ! I had my 70th birthday in Malibu and had 7 couples come in town and stay at The Malibu Inn , two years later they are still talking about their stay ! They now stay at the Malibu Inn every chance they get when coming to L.A.

Location, amenities and friendly staff

Loved my room. It was big with a beautiful ocean view and balcony where I could sit outside and watch the sunset. Service was excellent. Staff was so attentive. I LOVE this hotel and will always stay here when I am in Malibu! I highly recommend it!!

Finally stayed here and WOW – totally lived up to the hype! I always heard amazing things about Malibu Beach Inn and decided to spend a weekend there before heading to LA. It exceeded our expectations and was exactly what I needed after freezing all winter in nyc! This place is gorgeous , modern, luxurious, and right on the ocean. But what really made our stay special was the people. Everyone we met was so helpful, kind, and professional. You can tell they genuinely care. The little touches everywhere really impressed us. Custom ear plugs, fresh homemade cookies (so good!), and all the bathroom amenities were spot-on. It’s clear this hotel just gets what guests want. Breakfast and meals right on the water with that view? Literally so dreamy . The staff went out of their way for us – they even sent me fresh cookies ( highly recommend you try) after they ran out in the front. Concierge also helped us make our restaurant reservations without us having to ask. If you’re into boutique hotels with character and incredible service, this is it. I’ve recommended it to all my friends coming to the west coast and We’re already talking about when we can come back!

Uniche note negative: la porta d’ingresso della mia stanza dava sulla PCH ed era molto rumorosa. Peccato perché il rumore dell’oceano invece era meraviglioso. Per il prezzo che si paga i peli in bagno non si dovrebbero trovare neanche con la lente di ingrandimento. Ma a parte questo, il soggiorno e’ stato ottimo

Prior to arrival, the hotel reached out to gather preferences, share restaurant and activity recommendations, and offered assistance to ensure a seamless stay. I was upgraded upon arrival and welcomed with a personalized note, a bottle of wine, and snacks in my room—an incredibly thoughtful gesture. Throughout my stay, the service stood out. The restaurant staff were warm and attentive, the food was excellent, and the front desk team was consistently helpful and kind. I also had packages shipped to the hotel, which were delivered directly to my room with prompt text notifications. It’s these small, thoughtful touches and the genuinely caring staff that set this hotel apart. A beautiful property with exceptional hospitality.

Staff was outstanding; friendly, accommodating and just overall so welcoming. Rooms are beautifully appointed and surprisingly large.

This is not the hotel’s fault, they can’t help Mother Nature but you can only sit on the beach when the tide is low or starting to move out. The hotel is excellent about providing options, however I wouldn’t call the hotel having a true beach club.

We booked what we thought (that's what the website informed us) was a room over looking the sea when in fact it was overlooking a carpark and highway.
