LKWithout any prior planning, we discovered this gem in Rathnepura. We had intended to stay at Haputhale, but thebad weather forced us to change our plans. The room was very comfortable with air conditioning, and the location is great. it is not too far to the town center. The balcony gave us an extra space for gathering. Hotel staff are very amicable. Place can recommend to everybody seeking peace with happiness.

IEThis is a really good hotel that could be a great hotel. The rooms were clean, the A/C worked well and the staff were lovely. Sampa, the guide who kinda comes with the place was exceptional and made the stay here, for very reasonable extra costs. He tailors the experience to the visitor and is very quick to read what you want and don’t want.. in other words he’s not pushing you to buy stones from anyone, but is happy to bring you to the stone market. He seems to know everyone and all seem to respect and like him - which is a really good sign
The only thing I would say is that there was no breakfast available on the premises - this is a real pain as the town in 3-4km away . However the staff kindly allowed me to bring in my own food from local supermarket and prepare my own breakfast using their kitchen and fridge. Also WIFI not great in one of the rooms and no fans or a/c in the common area / lobby of the hotel.
