People are friendly and a very laid-back environment. Shark den was really fun as well with live entertainment.

Not enough carts for luggage

THEY PUT ON A 30 DOLLARS SURCHARGE FOR THINGS YOU DONT’T EVEN NEED-LOCAL PHONE CALLS, INTERNATIONAL PHONE CALLS LIMITED TO 15 MINUTES.

it has a shuttle to the airport which we used both ways

It was a little older and the interior seemed a little tired and worn down

Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and A/C worked.

Road noise, as hotel is near an elevated highway that apparently every motorcycle owner in Greater Honolulu needs to drive under on Saturday nights. Long walk to our room. Facility, at least our wing of it, is in need of a refresh.

It was close to the airport

The major issue that eclipsed all other issues was the attitude of the front desk staff. We arrived at night to check in. And ahead of the trip, we had asked for and gotten approved for a rollaway bed in the hotel room. This was months ahead. When we checked in and I reminded the front desk personnel about the bed, her answer was simply there was no bed. When asked about the discrepancy from my pre trip approval, she proceeded to lie. By saying that that’s not an obligation on the hotel, I have to take it up with Booking.com (that it was Booking.com’s fault). I mentioned the approval for the bed came from the hotel, she then switched tactics and said I would have to take it up with the manager, who will call me shortly. I eventually asked her what time the manager might be able to call, so I can assess how long we would have to be without a bed, she fessed up ( in a rude manner) that the manager is off duty until 9 AM the next morning. When I politely pointed out to her the irony that the very problem needed to be solved in the evening so we can all sleep, and the problem will be moot by 9 AM the next morning, I was brushed off by her in a very rude manner that is unbecoming of a front desk reception staff in a hotel. This jarring experience of a rude and lying staff member upon check in poisoned the entire stay. There are plenty of other hotels nearby. We will be taking our business elsewhere next time.
