Villa Zelma

The breakfast was very good and we also enjoyed the different options to sit down and relax with a wine. It was nice to be able to have dinner there. It is also close to the highway and nice for trips to Pisa or Florence.

The small room is located directly over the warm water heater and the floor heats up a lot. Also when opening the window sadly we often heard fan and pump noises due to the location of the room.

A pretty villa and a nice pool but that’s about it. We were excited to stay at Villa Zelma from all the fantastic reviews but this was not the nicest stay. We felt like we were unwelcome guests in someone else’s home. The hosts were not inviting at all. We once asked for coffee satchels in the room that had not been restocked and it was begrudgingly given to us by the owner. The most we spoke to them was when they asked for payment on check out. They had hard mattresses, blood stained sheets, and cob webs in the room. Housekeeping did not replace our towels when we put them in the hamper. The road up to the property is a nightmare and there is nothing within a 30minute drive. It was nice to sit by the pool until the neighbouring property let their dogs out to bark all afternoon and evening. This happened every day for our 5 night stay. All of the major cities are not close by as advertised by the property. Florence and Lucca are both almost an hour drive. All in all we felt the villa was in an inconvenient location and that any time we asked the owners for something that we were inconveniencing them.

Amazing rural location and affordable! We were lucky to have a rental car so we could spend some time in this Tuscan villa. Our upper room was so beautiful, especially when we opened windows and shutters to see rolling hillside. Room had AC with mini split. There is a fabulous restaurant onsite and places to wander to see more views. The staff was so accommodating that we felt like family. It was easy to communicate in English, Spanish and of course Italian.

The calmness that soured the villa was surreal, on top of that soo beautiful with nice staff who were there to help us with everything. My favorite part was our little housing with a touch of antique vibes, so so cute. The staff was accommodating, super flexible and friendly.

Beautiful location and amazing staff and food we just loved it quiet and relaxing location and dream pool . Staff where a highlight feels like a private villa and recommend the dinner one evening it was a private affair . There is a lovely running route down into the village .
