We stayed here for the nostalgia, it’s been 25 years since we came to the Thunderbird and it didn’t disappoint! I’m pretty sure the pool was closed then too - but we weren’t there to swim and it’s not advertised as having a pool. We just enjoyed the humor of it all. The room was clean and the guy who checked us in was friendly. If you’re looking for luxury, then pay quadruple the price and stay elsewhere! The Thunderbird Motel is a gem, an absolute classic and for the price, I have zero complaints. 10/10, would go again. Also, the carpet and interior decor is a vintage throwback - wow the memories!
USThis appears on the outside to be an older property, but the room was completely modernized. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of furniture for any purpose, and the television was up to date. The bathroom had new fixtures. One caution: the shower stall was quite small - huskier guests would likely find it uncomfortable.

The rooms are a little small for a family of four but otherwise, it's not bad
got there after 9 hour drive - said no to cats i had in car (90 degrees out) & then kept the $100 for hotel

USThis is a very old, old style motor inn. When you drive up it looks like it is out of business. The outside needs some TLC. The inside is old but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Air conditioner was loud but worked good. I would stay here again.
