AUWe didn’t actually stay at Portal Nou as there was a problem and we were relocated to another apartment Bravissimo Mercadel, Carrer del Perill 8, 3. It didn’t matter for us but there was no parking on site. I think the apartment I booked may have cost more per night but they didn’t say. They just offered the alternative.
The apartment is basic. It was clean but there was no basic supplies like many other holiday apartments like salt & pepper, teabags or coffee. Despite it being hot there were no ice trays or water jugs to put in the fridge. When I asked I was told they didn’t have any.
GBLocation is great, the style of the place, parking in a garage was a game changer. Owner was very helpful with our car and the house.
Only issue is the bathroom has a damp smell upstairs which got a bit much

USThe location is great. Just a short walk up the hill from the center of the old town. The place is very clean, and there is a parking garage. The best thing is that when we couldn't drive our car up the narrow old streets, Eudal (I think his name was) came down to meet us by one of the bridges and personally drove us up to the apartment. He was kind and helpful in every way, and made us feel welcome.
The bedroom and bathroom are up a narrow spiral staircase that is so steep we couldn't carry our luggage up. At night there is a smell of sewage in those rooms.

Needs maintenance. Plaster falling off walls. Some of the power points nearly pull out of the wall when you unplug. No basic stuff in the property like salt. No heated bathroom towel rail.
AUFabulous proximity to old town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities were good. Nice to have secure car park in the garage.
It was really quite tight to drive the car up to the apartment through the streets of old town. No good for a big car. You can only enter old town in a car a total of 3 times so a little restricted if you want to use your car.
