Finca La Principal

Lovely spacious traditionally decorated room with a super comfortable bed, but the best thing was the owners' friendliness and recommendations and the beauty of the "finca"

Lovely place. Beautiful garden with animals (peafowl, chicken, duck) where we peacefully played a boardgame. Jorge and Egle are very friendly and helpful. Laundry service upon request. They gave us fresh avocados from the tree in the garden :)

Two large spiders in the shower, but we managed to gently move them to the outside and didn't see them again.

Great location, lovely room and friendly staff

The grounds were exceptional, beautiful gardens all around. The bed was super comfortable Jorge was full of energy and good advice for things to check out on the island. There were some colourful animals running around and fresh fruit to pick and eat.

The only thing that was a downside was that the toilet and shower were disconnected from the room. The facilities where clean and very nice, but having to walk through the rain during the night was a bit of a downside.

The garden and room were beautiful.The owner Jorge is a proud Palmero and very knowledgeable.Nothing is too much trouble. On Fridays they have an artesan market and music in the garden which was lovely

We stayed 3 days in the "King Suite with balcony" in October 2022. The apartment is located on a farm in the upper Santa Cruz area called Brena Alta next to the old (unused) airport runway, 2 min walking distance to Casa Restaurant Osmunda (Michelin restaurant) and 7 min walking distance to Mirador de La Concepcion - bird's outlook to Santa Cruz and the east of La Palma. The suite is on the second floor of a typical old rural house with conveniences added for a comfortable stay. The suite was decorated with Strelitzia flowers and facing a wonderful garden with peacocks and few cats. The host Jorge made us feel like at home, thanks for him, we didn't miss anything. We are very grateful for the unique and wonderful experience of native La Palma. WiFi connection was rapid (630 Mbps) and reliable during our stay. Glebas & Erika.

What not to like in a place like this?

we loved the setting and the room was very comfortable. on meeting Jorge he was very welcoming and helpful giving us lots of information. made quick friends with sylvester the cat and the peacocks visited us every morning. we had 3 lovely nights staying here and would highly recommend La principal. our last day there was a market and live music which was wonderful. this is a very peaceful place to stay and a good location only being 15 minutes from the ferry. easy to explore the island from. we had a wonderful stay here and would for sure book again if we return to la palma.

nothing to dislike at all but would just suggest coffee or tea be available in the room.
