Amazing location, just round the corner from the town centre and the 'touristy' bit, which with the price makes it really good value. Michael the host was great, he gave us all the help and info we needed. The other staff were great too, I didn't catch his name but the guy cleaning in the morning gave us amazing insights about the way people think of thier history here. Everyone is incredibly friendly, like almost everyone in the town here are to tourists People stopped us in the street just to ask how we liked it and to make sure we came back! The place itself is also above a street food style eatery and electronics shop, and there's a supermarket opposite. They were happy to let us leave our bags after check out. Otherwise we were left entirely to our own devices, so you could talk as much or as little as you liked.

There were ants in the bathroom, but it's the middle of the rainforest, and we could see they were cleaning everyday so it feels very harsh to say, but want to be honest.

Our room was comfortable and big. It had a mini fridge, microwave and air con which were all very appreciated. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He ordered us a taxi to the border on the day we left.

The friendiness and convenience of the tenant Mike. Bed and sofa were moderately confortable. Shower was excellent. A fridge was included. Ratio quality/price was excellent.

There were no breakfasts. There is a small restaurant on the property that was well run and had good food and strong coffee Mike was a congenial host always smiling and helpful

Nowhere could we find a tshirt that said Cayo or San Ignacio or Santa Elena.
