Prachtig zicht in de tuin, dicht bij een bar waar je kon ontbijten en dichtbij een winkeltje waar je boodschappen kon doen.

Debbie the host was absolutely fantastic, this was a big family event with lots of organisation and she was incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The in country support was also phenomenal. The villa itself is spacious with beautiful views and all the facilities you could possibly need to host family members of all ages.

Nothing, we would happily stay here again.

Villa bellissima e dotata di ogni servizio, ci si sente a casa propria. Posizionata al confine tra Toscana ed Umbria permette di raggiungere facilmente una grande quantità di luoghi stupendi.

Villa magnifica per un weekend in famiglia! La villa è splendida, spaziosa e curata in ogni dettaglio. Debbie, la proprietaria, è stata estremamente cortese e sempre disponibile a soddisfare le nostre richieste. Purtroppo il meteo piovoso non ci ha permesso di godere appieno degli spazi esterni, ma grazie ai numerosi giochi e passatempi messi a disposizione da Debbie, il nostro soggiorno è stato comunque piacevolissimo. Un’esperienza che consigliamo senza dubbio!

Posto veramente magico, una villa antica in un piccolo paesino umbro, si torna indietro nel tempo per una vacanza all' insegna della natura e della storia di questi luoghi splendidi. Grazie Debbie!!!

Had a wonderful stay at Villa Gioiella. Nothing less than a real villa: it is huge inside; the kids were discovering inside for half an hour, just to find all the stairways, rooms, bathrooms and balconies. Outside a big garden with a trampoline and geese and chickens welcoming us. I liked the fact that there was no chair, table, closet, ornament or bed the same: it is a collection of various styles which surprisingly gives you that wonderful old worldly countryside style. Our host Debbie was most helpful; we had full WhatsApp conversations (in English) of where, how, when to go, and she offered and arranged contacts of wine tasting, local cooking workshops, and more. We had our own cars and could easily enjoy and discover the surroundings. Too much to do for just the 10 days we stayed. There are for example the wonderful villages Perugia and Gubbio to the north-east, the lake Trasimeno close by (but the more beautiful lake Bolsena to the south), the mini waterfall Cascate fiume Oriato (a real mini waterfall in a mini pond (20 square meters max), mentioned as their secret little paradise by the local youth, with whom we played football in the evening) and for the fashionista and airco lovers the Valdichiana Outlet Village to the north to visit. And at the end of a day, it always felt like coming home. Thank you, Debbie!

There is no airco, just electric fans; but that’s the only reason I put 4 smileys in stead of 5 for ‘comfort’. And what do you expect in a grandious old countryside villa :-D
